Sumner Archibald Cunningham (1843-1913) of Tennesee was the founder and editor of the Confederate Veteran (Nashville, 1893-1932). Cunningham served in the Confederate army in Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi. After the war he was an editor and agent for the Jefferson Davis Memorial Fund.
